5 differences between Sir Francis Drake and Blackbeard?
I need 5 differences between them and I know nothing about each of them.

Apparently ones a hero and another a villain.

Any help please?

they were pirates just for the record.

Erm, for a start francis Drake worked for the Queen - Blackbeard was an outlaw.
They lived 100 years apart.
The English don’t see francis drake as a pirate - the Spanish do. This is because most of his "pirate work" was against the Spanish, and most notably, destroying the Spanish Armada. The English see his as the man who gave us potatoes…. :p you can see a replica of his ship "The golden Hinde" in london near Shakespeare’s globe.
This another difference as Francis Drake operated mainly around Spain - Blackbeard around the west Indies and Eastern American colonies.
Francis died of dysentry - Blackbeard of a suprise attack.
Wikipedia them, there’s loads of diiferences!
Making his directorial debut is the franchise creator and writer of all five films, Don Mancini. The film introduces Glen (voiced by “The Lord of the Rings” star Billy Boyd), the orphan doll offspring of the irrepressible devilish-doll-come-to-life Chucky (again voiced by series star Brad Dourif) and his equally twisted bride Tiffany (again voiced by Jennifer Tilly). When production starts on a movie detailing the urban legend of his parents’ lethal exploits, Glen heads for Hollywood where he brings his bloodthirsty parents back from the dead. The family dynamics are far from perfect as Chucky and Tiffany go Hollywood and get rolling on a new spree of murderous mayhem; much to gentle Glen’s horror. Chucky can’t believe that his child doesn’t want to walk in his murdering footsteps, and star-struck Tiffany can’t believe that the movie will star her favorite actress, Jennifer Tilly (playing herself), who soon becomes an unwitting hostess to this new family in more ways than one…

Do you think this Taylor Swift definition from urbandictionary.com is true?
Overrated, overexposed grown woman who can’t get over her long-gone high school days. Claims to be a "country" singer when she’s from Pennsylvania and her songs are nothing but manufactured pop music made for radio, with a bit of banjo and fake country twang thrown in here and there.

Strums the same chords over and over, has an average voice, and mediocre writing abilities which mainly focus on boys and what not. But because of her ability to dazzle gullible tweens with her sparkly prom dresses, catchy tunes, and overly innocent, vanilla persona, she has moved on to fooling the general masses into thinking she is a gift to the music world.

But alas, people will inevitably get sick of her being forced down their throats. She will eventually be embroiled in some sort of scandal as she is actually bat-shit crazy in reality, and her career will come spiraling down into oblivion. Kanye West will then be known as Prophet Kanye for seeing and warning us all of this before it happened.
Ten years from now:
Romeo Butkiss: Hey, did you see that "Where Are They Now?" episode last night?

Juliet Vomitus: Yeah! That Taylor Swift broad with the squinty eyes who peaked too fast was on there. She’s divorced now and living with her 13 cats in Stumptoe, Arkansas.

No. I like Taylor Swift…I think a lot of people don’t like her because she is one, of few, young female entertainers that actually acts respectably. Her being from Pennsylvania means nothing…there are country folks all over the place!
I read the first sentence and I already agree. She’s extremely overrated. She can’t sing at all and all of songs are about make believe fairy tales or how she was a dorkwad in high school. People say she’s "relateable." The only people who relate to that are 5 year olds and other high school dorkwads.
Evacuees were ushered from the cities to refugee camps in the surrounding counties. In-fighting, famine and disease took their toll on the survivors. Now, twenty years after the bombs fell and the plagues ran their course the few that remain live in fear and without hope. Azura Skye (28 DAYS, ONE MISSED CALL) stars as Sarah in this Post-Apocalyptic Fairy Tale about a young woman’s journey to deliver the first child born in 15 Years. Sarah’s refusal to give up is inspired by a lone voice on her radio. Michael (Joshua Leonard, THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT) broadcasts dim and distant messages of hope mixed with the music he scavenges from the dead. Forced from her basement home by drought and relentlessly pursued by those who want her baby, Sarah crosses paths with Michael in a cavernous, underground refuge of disparate survivors. It is from Three Caves that Michael and Sarah will embark on a journey beyond the boundaries of the Southern Corridor and into the unknown future. Nathan Baesel (BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON), Reg. E Cathey (THE WIRE) and Diane Salinger (CARNIVALE) co-star in this artfully rendered vision of a challenging future filled with danger, fear and hope.

I think a lot of us have those unanswered moments in our life and we need answers. I find it totally harmless to contact this man and catch up on old times, maybe even a meeting at a bar for drinks. After seeing him, twenty years past, you may realize that time has changed him for the worse and realize that what you have at home is much better. Or, he may still be the man of your dreams and you both will need to take your meeting a step further for a few hours of wild passionate sex. Good luck.
It’s normal when you loved someone. Just don’t get fooled by what you had 20 years ago. Both of you have changed and grown so he may not be the same person you loved 20 years ago.

I’d just marinate on it for a bit, smile to myself and then let it go. You have a new life and so does he. Let the past be what is was….especially 20 years ago. Especially because you may end up getting disappointed because he is not who he was.

Now on the other hand if it’s just an innocent "hey how are ya"…try going to some place neutral like Classmates.com and drop an email. If you think it’s going to start up something like an affair or secret fling…avoid contacting him.

you are just craving the old feeling of that special connection that you had with him. sometimes even when we move on we find ourselves comparing our ex’s with the ones that we are with. for some reason its because one person did this in a certain way that is percect and the other doesnt. one person was more passionate and the other wasn’t. some part of you feels that you both have some things to finish off for good or for the furture. you just have to realize that it has been 20 years and you are married. if you find yourself thinking about another man or anything else, then work on your marriage and focus on what you have.
Sometimes we do things like this when we are feeling, down, vulnerably , lonely, neglected, or just plain unhappy with our lives…but don’t do it, put all these energies into you marriage, your self esteem…sometimes we are in love with the dream of what might have been and while doing this you are missing the point of your own life. Get busy doing positive things for yourself. Don’t go back, go forward.
I believe as humans we connect somehow and never break that connection . As far as you know he is thinking about you at the same time . I have 2 ex,s and often more then not when they are on my mind one of them will call or come over and say they was thinking about me . Im sure thats happened to you and all of us like thinking about a family member and then you see them out of the blue same difference .

Okay, I have a nightmare about me being chased by the Green Goblin (movie version) and nearly being killed.?
It was raining and I was at some sort of a school combined with a mall, and the Green Goblin was chasing me and tried to kill me with bullets, and bombs, that came from his glider and the entire school did NOTHING to help me!

I need your help to interpret this nightmare!
Please!
At first, I was at school, learning, until I spotted a flying figure that looks like a man riding something to make him fly. I thought it was just one of my imaginations, so I ignored it.
A few moments later, I saw Spider-Man at the my school field and the flying figure that I saw earlier came closer to him. Everybody was shocked because that the flying figure was The Green Goblin! So, everyone there panicked
and it was like a warzone, and I dunno why put I’ve gotta help Spidey, somehow.
And then, it started to rain, heavily. I ran to the field and found out that Spidey was totally injured! I called Gobby some bad names and he punched me and kicked me as hard as he could. And then, I ran, for shelter. The whole school was ignoring me and oddly enough, they were all relaxed and wore blue raincoats. The Goblin was throwing bombs and missiles at me but I dodged!
And then, Spidey did something (that I forgot) and saved my life. Later… Harry came and we all had dinner.
Interpret it.

dude, ever read Ultimate Spider-Man? If yes, then you are simply re-enacting an aspired persona, you wanna be Spidey, but you’ve got the danger without the power. You’re being chased for being what or who you are and you cannot bring it forth to face it (typical nightmare situation of helplessness). If it happens again try something, throw a web at goblin, throw your hand out towards him and see if you’ve got some sense of power, take something back and see if you can do something other than run, because running in dreams ultimately doesn’t end or becomes futile.

 jleslie4585 | Nov 29, 2007

Dreams and dream symbols are personal, so if this doesn’t resonate, take what means something and discard the rest.

You are in a school (learning needs to take place) mall (consumerism/spending/buying) and you are avoiding an issue that is gobbling up your green (green goblin).

The school doing nothing to help you may mean that there is an obstacle to learning. Your subconscious knows what’s going on, but your conscious mind isn’t helping.

Being "nearly killed" is indicative that you are nearing a life-changing event. It’s important that you evaluate.

Why are conservatives always on the wrong side of morality?
Conservatives tend to be very inconsistent on their views. For example, they’re generally against abortion. Assuming that abortion really is murder as they claim (please dont argue about whether abortion is right or wrong, that’s not the issue here), it seems to be one of the few issues that they are against on "moral grounds" that have a legitimate base (for example, the act of murder is immoral, so if you believe that abortion is murder and you disagree with it on the basis that makes sense, but other "moral issues" aren’t universally immoral, ie gay marriage). However, conservatives tend to have a social darwinist ideology and think the "weaker" should die off. Wouldn’t it be logical then for woman on welfare to have an abortion to prevent generations of abusing the system ? The fact that they are against abortion and protest the horror of it, but rarely consider the effects of it on the children doesnt make sense. Clearly its not an issue of morality, but an issue of control otherwise they would support welfare programs for children in poverty. Their disgust of abortion is way to legitimize their desire to control. Surely one is not an champion of morality if their consideration of morality is limited to one issue and they haven’t the compassion to think of the effects of said issue! To them they think that abortion is wrong, and then want to penalize the kids that they would have wanted the woman to be forced to have by limiting welfare programs. Regardless of your opinion of welfare, you cant seriously force a woman to have a kid when she doesnt have the financial necessities to take care of the kid and expect her to do so! Do you really think the kid should be forced to live in poverty because at least he’s alive?

Please dont call yourself champions of morality if you so readily support war. Regardless of your justification for the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (which of course arent justified), you rarely protest or otherwise show disgust for what you consider "collateral damage". You say callous things like "it is necessary". (I suppose its necessary for terrorists (the US army) to invade a country for strategic reasons and kill whoever gets in their way)

Why are conservatives always on the wrong side of morality?
Modern Mountain Man, I agree that morality is subjective, but I’m simply questioning their inconsistent views. This is mainly a response to them (social conservatives) considering themselves "moral champions". And murder tends to be looked down upon.

1st I am a fiscal conservative and have centrist beliefs Republican . Do not say all conservatives are on the wrong side of morality simply not true. Just like with any group their are moderates too. Most of my republican friends are like myself, we believe in Roe think it should stay, believe that it is a gut wrenching decision that a woman has to make. That being said, most folks that are on social service programs like welfare do not choose abortions, this is a statistical fact. This is where I start to have issues do I have a solution ? no I do not. That’s why it’s called pro choice, and in lower social economic households it’s not being made. they choose to raise the the kids that way ( your words not mine).

We will not endeavor to get into you calling the men and women in the US Army terrorists simply because their are no words to describe a person so despicable as yourself. You can disagree with the wars and the reasons we are there but those men and women are there so you can sit on your tail and write vile crap like that.

 | Jan 31, 2010

 Morality isn’t objective.

But I agree on a preferential basis. War, among many other things conservatives support, makes me sick.
Modern Mountain Man | Jan 31, 2010

Ok I got it you get to decide what is morale and right for the rest of us. In that case it is you duty to enlighten everyone else because you are the only one out there that is right.
wbond1963 | Jan 31, 2010

The wrong side of what YOU think is moral–as if YOU have sole ownership of morality. You don’t. Your question is therefore meaningless.
NoBama | Jan 31, 2010

Conservatives and left-wing Democrats are equally hypocrites. For example, a left winger can get on tv crying over the injustice of animals but see nothing wrong with America aborting 48 million babies, some of which are used for cosmetic or organ donor purposes. The bigger issue here is the shadow government which controls and manipulates each side of each issue. They want us to fight each other so we won’t see the bigger picture. They want to bring us under a one world government. They want robots who they can control!

What to do for a school musical?
We have to do a musical in july 2009 and we dont know what to do. We cant do anything with a licence so Greece, Mama Mia! and so on are off the list. We have already done Bugsy Malone, Sweeney Todd the Barber and dream on
i meant july 2010!!!!
Ye nothing under copyright!!??? i no really hard to choose one!

What do you mean by "anything with a license?" Do you mean under copyright? If so, you’re limiting yourself to Gilbert and Sullivan and anything in the public domain. All of the musicals mentioned so far are under copyright - you’d have to pay royalties for all of them.

Name of old bollywood movie starring salman khan or amir khan?
I’m looking for an old bollywood movie where Salman Khan plays the role of a single dad of 3, 4, or 5 boys and he finds/rescues a woman from an accident who lost her memory. She stays with them, and the family convinces the woman she is their mother and husband. They live on some farm. The guy owns a jeep. That’s about all I know. It’s old.
